Our Philosophy
After another weekend of soccer in 2016 watching 6 year olds struggling to navigate their personal soccer experiences amidst the chaos of coach’s and parent’s ambitions, we knew there was a better way to develop players.
ROSA was started in 2020 by a small team of parents and soccer professionals who were not satisfied with the competitive, big business style of soccer clubs in the Montgomery County area. They saw play on the field and coaching from the sidelines that left kids burned out and coach/player relationships built on shame and cutthroat competition.
They envisioned a club where players would be developed in their life skills as much as their soccer skills – where teams would become a family, deeply forming young people into resilient, confident and innovative people living with integrity and a lifelong love for soccer.
Today, ROSA coaches and families continue to come together to create a healthy athletic experience that values players’ social and emotional health. We have grown to comprise over 18 boys and girls travel teams plus a popular Little Legends program working with over 250 players. We are a club of families cultivating a supportive, passionate community where everyone has something to offer.
