SKIP PURICH

Skip Purich began his soccer career in Montgomery County, Maryland, where he played in several local and regional leagues. From an early age, he specialized in goalkeeping, a position he remained dedicated to throughout his playing career. He competed in various leagues, including MSI, MSI Select, NCSL, and Maryland ODP.

Skip attended and played Goalie for Paint Branch High School and later played collegiate soccer at Bethany College from 1995 to 1998. As a standout goalkeeper, he helped his team secure multiple achievements, including:

    •    ECAC Champion (1995, 1997)

    •    All-PAC Second Team Goalkeeper (1995)

    •    PAC Champion (1995–1998)

    •    NCAA Mid-Atlantic Champion (1996)

In addition to his playing career, Skip holds an NSCAA Regional Diploma and an NSCAA Level Three Goalkeeping Diploma. He has served as a goalkeeper instructor at Number One Goalkeeping Camps, led by Dr. Joe Machnik, and has coached at various soccer camps in the region.

His coaching experience includes serving as the JV and Varsity Boys’ Coach at Kennedy High School and Richard Montgomery High School. He has also been a head coach at Olney Boys and Girls Club (OBGC), Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC), and Greater Laurel United Soccer Club.

Skip is a passionate and dedicated goalkeeping coach committed to developing new players, fostering a love for goalkeeping, and sharing his extensive knowledge and experience. He looks forward to training and mentoring aspiring goalkeepers, helping them refine their skills and reach their full potential.
