ROGER SAMPAH

Roger is a former professional soccer player who represented his native country Ivory Coast at various youth levels. Roger's wealth of playing experience includes DC United, Philadelphia Furry, and San Antonio Scorpions in the US. Roger also played for several European teams such as Suttgart, Ludwisburg, Bissigenfrom Germany, Beveren FC from Belgium, Koping of Sweden, Vissai Ninh binh In Vietnam, and Yarmouk in Kuwait.

 

As the Head Coach of Walter Johnson High School’s JV team, he has led his team to an undefeated record for the past three years and was nominated for Best High School Coach of the Year in 2024—a rare achievement for a JV coach. His impact extends beyond high school, having helped over 50 players earn college scholarships or sign professional contracts.

Roger is also a scout for DC Power Pro girls’ team and has played a key role in identifying and nurturing top talent. He has won multiple national and international tournaments as both a player and a coach. Additionally, as a FIFA-licensed agent, he provides valuable guidance to players looking to transition to the professional level.

 

With his USSF D coaching license, he coaches  teams and individual training, focusing on developing each player’s basic technical skills in order for them to be successful wherever they play. No one player is the same, so Roger designs drills targeted at each player’s growth areas.

As the Director of Rosa Legends, Roger runs elite group training, private 1-on-1 sessions, and team development programs, specializing in technical skill development, tactical intelligence, and mental resilience. He is also a specialist in tots programs, helping young players build a strong foundation in soccer through fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate training.
