ANNIE YARBERRY

Annie grew up surrounded by soccer, making varsity her freshman year in high school and earning MVP her Sophomore and Junior years. In the years since then, Annie’s love of the game has endured through intramural and adult league play as well as coaching. With 30+ years of field experience playing outside defense and wing, Annie focuses on players having a keen awareness of how to open up the field, starting with the goal keeper and trickling up to the strikers. Annie knows it takes all types to field a team, and as an assistant coach it is her goal to help each player establish their role on the field, while simultaneously helping players determine and master the technical skills that suit them and their positions.

Prior to assistant coaching for ROSA, Annie was a head coach for OBGCs recreational soccer league for two years. As a coach, Annie is guided by her belief that if young players can have fun while building technical skills, field awareness, and strong team bonds, they will grow into strong players.
